An elderly woman who won a nursing home negligence action in arbitration appealed a circuit court decision that negated her award for legal costs.
The arguments heard Tuesday by the Fourth District Court of Appeal drew the attention of the plaintiffs bar’s Florida Justice Association and on the opposing side the Florida Defense Lawyers Association. Both organizations filed friend-of-the-court briefs.
