Consumers and businesses continue to steer away from the financial relief of bankruptcy amid high filing costs and low interest rates. As a result, bankruptcy filings throughout the United States this year will likely fall below 1 million for the first time since 2007.
In light of this apparent trend, this article considers several strategic alternatives to bankruptcy which may be considered with or without judicial involvement and oversight.
