Almost six years after he last played for the Baltimore Ravens, former National Football League pro bowl cornerback Samari Rolle made history in the courtroom by winning a malpractice case in Charlotte, N.C.

The former Florida State University player, with an assist from two Miami attorneys, became the first plaintiff in 12 years to prevail in a medical malpractice case in Charlotte’s Mecklenburg County.
