A former lobbyist who helped the public corruption cases against two Miami-Dade mayors was sentenced to house arrest and community service after flipping on the politicians.
U.S. District Judge Marcia Cooke in Miami ordered Richard Candia, 49, to serve four months of house arrest and perform 100 hours of community service on his guilty plea in May to honest services fraud.
