The Seminole Tribe of Florida Inc. plans to enter the banking market by acquiring Mackinac Savings Bank of Boynton Beach in the first quarter of 2015, the tribe announced Tuesday.

Lynne Wines, most recently president and chief executive officer of First Southern Bank of Boca Raton, is being proposed by the tribe’s board of directors to be the community bank’s president and CEO. Wines recently joined the tribe and has been instrumental in moving the project forward, the tribe said.
