The late Arthur Nadel, a Sarasota hedge fund manager accused of running a $168 million Ponzi scheme, died two years ago, but the litigation over his scam lives on.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit ruled the former officers of a Texas oil and gas exploration and production company that received money from Nadel’s investors lacked standing to appeal a decision giving a receiver authority over the company.
