Don Beverly, a victim of ex-law firm chairman Scott Rothstein’s Ponzi scheme, asked an appellate court Tuesday to reverse a Palm Beach circuit judge’s order compelling him to arbitrate a $1.1 million loss.
Beverly’s lawsuit against Hightower Advisors LLC and Hightower investment adviser Curtis Lyman is based on Lyman’s advice that Beverly purchase rights to confidential pre-suit settlement proceeds being offered by the Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler law firm in Fort Lauderdale.
