The Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday sanctioned a Boca Raton auditor for violating federal laws and regulations.

Eliot Berman and his firm, Berman & Co., agreed to settle the SEC charges. He must pay a $15,000 penalty and was suspended for at least a year from practicing as an accountant on behalf of any publicly traded or other company regulated by the SEC.
