A state appeals court has overturned a $2.5 million negligence award in favor of a cruise ship worker who sued Celebrity Cruises Inc. after his leg was broken when he was attacked by a fellow employee.
A September 2013 default judgment was issued by Miami-Dade Circuit Judge David C. Miller in favor of Vincente J. Fernandes after Celebrity’s pleadings were stricken as result of a discovery violation.
