A former Miami Beach promoter appeared in court Monday after his extradition from Brazil to face federal charges that he defrauded investors out of about $300 million, according to federal prosecutors.
John “Jack” Utsick was named the third-biggest concert promoter and entertainment manager in the world by Billboard Magazine in 2005, producing events and concert tours for artists such as Coldplay, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Aerosmith, Luis Miguel and Juanes.
