It took Boca Raton entrepreneur Bernard Brigonnet 22 minutes to explain his health care tech startup and why it needed $1 million in funding. It took a handful of investors gathered at Holland & Knight’s Miami office and the Philadelphia office of BakerHostetler less than 10 minutes to eviscerate the pitch.

“They’ve grossly underestimated what it would take for this to be successfully marketed,” one investor noted, while another would-be financier groused about Brigonnet’s “very complicated go-to-market strategy.”
