Walk into Anthony’s Runway 84 and it’s like stepping into an Italian restaurant from Brooklyn circa 1960, what with the beehive hairdos at the bar and the Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin music blaring. That, or a scene from Jersey Boys.

Seemingly a million miles from the upper crust eateries on Las Olas Boulevard, this Fort Lauderdale restaurant is nonetheless a favorite among many power lunch types—especially those who don’t want to be spotted—from politicos to attorneys to police union officials.
