Broward County Court Judge Sharon Zeller is known for her creative jurisprudence. She has threatened noise violators with bagpipe music, ordered speeders to photograph roadside memorials, and used the teachings of a hip-hop motivational speaker to guide young offenders.
“I think a lot of people need to learn a lesson that is not well-learned by punishment alone, meaning dollars or days in jail,” she said.
