History may remember Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Scott Bernstein as the first openly gay man to run for judge in the county. He’d much rather be known for helping children.
“I didn’t run for judge to be a gay judge,” he said. “I ran for judge because I wanted to be a public servant.”
