Ramon “Ray” Abadin was sworn in Friday as the 67th president of the Florida Bar, one of the largest state bar organizations in the country with more than 100,000 lawyers.
Abadin, 56, a litigation partner with Sedgwick in Miami, heavily referenced his Cuban-American roots at the ceremony, even thanking Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Jorge Labarga, another Cuban-American, in Spanish.
