A federal judge is allowing six current and former NFL players to move ahead with a negligence lawsuit against BB&T Corp. for allegedly allowing unauthorized financial transactions in accounts handled by the athletes’ financial adviser.
In a 51-page order issued July 27, U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom in Fort Lauderdale granted summary judgment to the bank on numerous counts filed by more than a dozen professional football players.
