State consumer advocates and a group of major electricity users will go to the Florida Supreme Court to fight a plan that would allow Florida Power & Light Co. to invest ratepayer money in natural-gas drilling projects.
The state Office of Public Counsel, which represents consumers in utility issues, and the Florida Industrial Power Users Group filed notices Wednesday indicating they will appeal a decision by state regulators that cleared the way for the FPL gas-investment program.
