A Canadian REIT has scooped up a Cooper City luxury apartment community, paying $55.7 million for a new 252-unit low-rise community.
Ontario-based Morguard Corp., a REIT and real estate firm publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange, bought the Jefferson Monterra luxury apartment community from investor Starwood Capital Group, a Greenwich, Connecticut fund. The deal closed September 1.
