Gov. Rick Scott has elevated Miami-Dade County Court Judge Charles Johnson to the circuit bench, filling the position left vacant by the resignation of Judge Victoria Sigler.
Johnson, a judge since 2010, beat out five other finalists: County Court Judges Wendell Graham, Lourdes Simon, Jason Dimitris and Assistant Federal Public Defender Ayana Harris and Miami solo practitioner John Wylie.
