Longtime Broward Clerk of the Courts Howard Forman, who is retiring next year, has hand-picked a successor for the job: his wife, Brenda, who worked for the clerk’s office for 19 months as a docket clerk.

Brenda Forman, who married Howard in 2013, said she is running for one of the most powerful public posts in Broward County because she got “a vision from God.”
