The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit has affirmed a Miami federal judge’s dismissal of a lawsuit filed by the Miccosukee tribe against its former lawyers.

U.S. District Judge Marcia Cooke in Miami imposed sanctions of more than $1 million on the tribe and its attorney Bernardo Roman III.
