Lee Stapleton, a partner in the Miami office of Baker & McKenzie and a former federal prosecutor, is the 77th president of the Orange Bowl Committee. This year’s game at Sun Life Stadium is sold out, with 65,000 tickets spoken for. The event is expected to pump some $300 million into the local economy.
Stapleton’s reign culminates Thursday when the Oklahoma Sooners take on the Clemson Tigers, but she’s been toiling away since her presidency began last January, traveling the country to attend football games (and tailgate parties), organizing local activities and establishing a girls’ golf program.
