A four-car accident led to a pileup of problems for a West Palm Beach woman, her attorneys argued in court.

Jean Suarez was depressed and recovering from an alcohol addiction when she was hit twice in the 2006 accident. Pain medication prescribed for her neck and back injuries “fed into her addictive personality,” said her attorney, Gary Friedman of Friedman & Friedman in Coral Gables.
