A family feud over $120 million between the daughter of the founders of the Applebaum Foundation and the attorney running the Foundation has spawned four lawsuits in Miami and New York.

The fight is between Judy Borger, the daughter of foundation founders Joseph and Leila Applebaum, and Warren Weiss, Borger’s uncle and the New York lawyer she alleges committed malpractice and “hijacked” the foundation to benefit himself. The lawsuits seek to have Weiss and other members thrown off the board of directors and Borger reinstated. Her lawyers say she was ousted last year, but foundation attorney Stephen Zack said she was simply not re-elected.
