As regulatory compliance has become a leading concern for multinational companies working in Latin America, more corporations are turning to due diligence providers to investigate potential business partners in hopes of mitigating their legal exposure.

It’s a growing field. Third-party due diligence has become one of Berkeley Research Group’s fastest-growing areas, encouraging them to open an office in Miami in the last year and in four Latin American countries by the end of March, said Frank Holder, BRG’s head of Latin America. California-based BRG also offers services such as expert witnesses, global investigations into compliance, forensic accounting and cybersecurity.
