Top South Florida class action law firms like Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton, Podhurst Orseck and Harke Clasby & Bushman have grown a bit frustrated over the dearth of major class action and multidistrict litigation cases sent to Miami.

So the three law firms have a plan to make Miami a major center for class action and MDL cases. They jointly donated $1 million to the University of Miami School of Law to fund scholarships in the specialty, an endowed fellowship and an annual forum they hope will bring together top scholars, judges, lawyers and journalists.
