Heirs of a German businessman won a victory Wednesday in their quest to recover $91 million they say was misappropriated by an in-law, Miami Beach developer Thomas Kramer.

Siegfried Otto’s heirs will be allowed to pursue claims against SwissPartners Investment Network Ltd. over a $12 million mortgage on a Star Island luxury home. Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Daryl Trawick initially dismissed the claims because the heirs did not show good cause for failing to serve SwissPartners with their complaint until 10 years after it was filed.
