SkyRise Miami, a 1,000-foot tourist attraction proposed on Biscayne Bay, has dropped its bid for Miami-Dade County funding for what is estimated to be a $430 million project.
Developer Jeff Berkowitz withdrew his request for a $9 million subsidy that would help fund public infrastructure surrounding the massive structure, saying he could not meet all of the county requirements to tap into its economic development fund.
