A team of West Palm Beach lawyers helped negotiate a $1.1 whistleblower settlement with a pain clinic that allegedly provided medically unnecessary procedures.

Rosa Gomez, who was a receptionist and medical billing clerk for Florida Pain Medicine Associates Inc. in Greenacres, filed a qui tam lawsuit against the company claiming Medicare fraud. The clinic was billing Medicare for medically unnecessary nerve conduction studies, she alleged in the 2013 complaint.
