After filing to run for the seat formerly held by Broward Circuit Judge Cynthia Imperato, who resigned in late February, and collecting $17,000 from supporters, Miami lawyer Mason Pertnoy has decided to withdraw from the race and is returning donations after learning Gov. Rick Scott intends to fill the open seat by appointment.
“I’ll have a sore hand writing all those checks,” the Solowsky Allen attorney joked.
