Eight people hid more than $3 million in personal bankruptcy cases from judges and the U.S. Trustee’s Office in Miami, federal prosecutors charged Tuesday.

The defendants in the criminal fraud cases concealed assets such as real estate, furs, jewelry and luxury cars to avoid repaying creditors, according to the Miami U.S. attorney’s office, FBI and the trustee’s office.
