Mitchell Fuerst, managing partner of Fuerst Ittleman David & Joseph in Miami and a prominent international tax attorney known for mentoring young lawyers, died at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center of complications from chemotherapy. He was 63.
Fuerst and his partner, Andrew Ittleman, co-founded their firm in 2006 and merged with a boutique litigation firm in 2011. Before that, Fuerst launched his career in the Internal Revenue Service’s chief counsel’s office in 1978 in Chicago before moving to Miami and private practice in 1980.
