The hospitality industry is cracking down on Airbnb hosts using the short-term rental platform to operate unregulated lodging businesses.

While the online service is generally used by homeowners looking to make extra cash, a report released by the American Hotel & Lodging Association points to a different type of Airbnb host: people listing more than two units at a time and full-time operators who rent out the same units all year long.
