The Florida Supreme Court disciplined 12 South Florida lawyers, including three who were disbarred, the Florida Bar announced Tuesday.

Jack Bellan of Coral Springs was disbarred after failing to appear at hearings in a bankruptcy case where he represented a debtor. The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida suspended him indefinitely for incompetence in the case.
