Miami’s Viceroy hotel has become the W Miami following a $64.5 million trade.
A Maryland-based real estate investment trust dropped the Viceroy Hotel Group hotel from its portfolio this week when it sold the property to Al Rayyan Tourism and Investment Co., the international hotel investment and hospitality subsidiary of the Qatar-based Al Faisal Holding Co. The hotel in the Icon Brickell complex on Biscayne Bay at the mouth of the Miami River has been rebranded by W Hotels Worldwide, a division of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., the buyer announced Wednesday.
