The Florida Supreme Court ruled that some internet retailers based in Florida must pay state sales tax, no matter where their customers are from or where the goods are delivered.

The May 26 decision is bad news for the owners of American Business USA Corp., a Wellington company that arranges sales of flowers and gift baskets, most of them within Latin America, through its 1Vende.com website. They must pay $137,000 plus interest for sales from April 1, 2008, to March 31, 2011.
