After landing a $36 million settlement for owners of RVs and boats with refrigerators said to cause fires and explosions, the plaintiffs’ law firm is going after the defendant’s main competitor over products with the same problem.

At least 3,000 refrigerators made by Pompano Beach-based company Dometic Corp. have leaked flammable gas and caused fires since 1997, according to a complaint filed Friday in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
