A development bank owned mostly by Latin American countries and private banks has approved $1.865 billion in loans for a range of infrastructure projects in seven Latin American countries.

The Development Bank of Latin America announced the loans last week at a session of the board of directors in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The loan projects range from natural disaster recovery and water management, to roadways connecting rural areas, to water and wastewater treatment plants and diversification of economies.
