Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Jason Bloch hopes to beat a challenger for his seat on the bench ahead of the election—by booting her from the ballot.

In a lawsuit filed Wednesday, Bloch claims opponent Marcia Del Rey should be disqualified from the Aug. 30 judicial race for allegedly filing inaccurate financial statements, misrepresenting her legal experience and accepting improper campaign contributions from her father.
