Some restrictions to lawyers’ participation in for-profit referral services will be removed if the Florida Supreme Court approves proposed rule changes submitted Monday.
The amended rule would apply to a broader group of services, including matching websites such as Avvo and LegalZoom, and would remove a malpractice insurance requirement and rules requiring certain disclaimers in the services’ ads.
