When Charlotte, North Carolina-based brokerage Lincoln Harris brought the SunTrust Center in downtown Fort Lauderdale to market in February, Steelbridge Capital was not on its list of potential buyers.

Steelbridge managing principals Mike Manno, Jay Caplin and Gavin Campbell, who long have had an interest in the 270,000-square-foot property, set about changing that. They introduced themselves and outlined their history of acquiring properties in Fort Lauderdale and across Florida.
