The Palms at Town & Country shopping center in Miami’s West Kendall suburb was up for sale. For Daniel Finkle, senior managing director at HFF and lead broker for the seller, the challenge was to help potential buyers see not only its present value but also to peer into the future and appreciate how a successful asset would continue to grow.

In the end, his crystal ball worked well. Finkle engineered the $285 million cash sale of the complex by TIAA Global Asset Management of New York to Weingarten Realty Investors, a publicly traded real estate investment trust based in Houston.
