Carlos Vejar, the former general counsel for international trade in Mexico’s Ministry of Economy has joined Holland & Knight’s Mexico City office as senior counsel.
For the past six years, Vejar has been responsible for coordinating Mexico’s participation in trade and investment disputes, as well as providing legal advice on international trade negotiations and matters arising under bilateral and multilateral investment agreements, including the World Trade Organization and North American Free Trade Agreement. Prior to that time, he served as economic counselor to the Permanent Mission of Mexico Before the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.
