A federal judge dismissed a U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit against Florida in what the state’s lawyers are calling a test case of the DOJ’s authority.
U.S. District Judge William Zloch found the federal government lacked standing to bring suit under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which prohibits discrimination by public entities.
