A juror’s actions during jury selection resulted in a new trial for a plaintiff seeking up to $12 million in damages for a botched real estate deal.
Juror No. 6 “failed to respond to the court’s and counsels’ questions when she denied personal involvement in any other litigation,” Miami-Dade Circuit Judge William Thomas found in a granting a new trial to the plaintiff, developer Brevard Estates Corp.
