Miami City Attorney Victoria Mendez retained her post Thursday in the wake of stark allegations lodged against her by City Commissioner Ken Russell.
His attempt to oust the city’s highest-ranking attorney in a dispute over public records and backdoor dealings collapsed when no one seconded his motion to fire Mendez.
