Jose Martin Davila, director of compliance for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide in the Americas and French Polynesia, has joined Squire Patton Boggs as of counsel in the firm’s government investigations and white collar practice in Miami.

Martin Davila’s experience implementing anti-corruption compliance programs and handling internal investigations will bolster the firm’s enforcement and compliance capabilities in Latin America, the firm said in a statement. Squire Patton Boggs, which has 46 offices in 21 countries, has made a number of hires to bolster its compliance and enforcement team over the past year, as have other firms anticipating growth in demand in that sector.
