The Third District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission is seeking applications to replace Judge Frank A. Shepherd, who is leaving the court after 13 years when his term ends Jan. 2.

Shepherd, who was best known for his real estate and land use expertise, was a senior attorney for the conservative Pacific Legal Foundation when he was named to the bench by Gov. Jeb Bush in 2003.
