A Donald Trump presidency will leave a lasting mark on the U.S. Supreme Court — but it also means changes in the Southern District of Florida, including to the federal bench and the U.S. attorney’s office.

And if Trump appoints Florida Supreme Court Justice Charles Canady to the nation’s highest court, as he has suggested he might do, Republican Gov. Rick Scott would have a chance to make his second appointment to the state Supreme Court.
