Retired Jupiter trust and estate attorney Kathleen G. Kozinski was ordered Wednesday to pay $923,695 in restitution and serve eight months in jail for filing false income tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service.

Kozinski, a former Jupiter councilwoman, plead guilty in July to two counts of filing a false tax return by underreporting her income from her estate planning and probate solo practice, Kathleen G. Kozinski P.A. on 2008 and 2011 returns.
